Nostalgia

I want to return to the life I still remember.
Siphoning nostalgia even though that machine was not working.

The chase - name it Ambition - left me empty of gratitude.
The surge - call it Importance - shipwrecked every hour.
The lie - crown it Capacity - shadowed the children’s smiles.

If worth is set in gold perched on my ring finger.
Then throw it into the fire to see how tough it really is.
